Fuel - I work at a Buick GMC Hyundai dealer and have driven several Azeras...They're pretty nice...for a Hyundia. They're decently quick, SSEi is faster, you literally have to lean over to reach the radio (really bothered me). The paint has massive orange peel and the guage cluster is annoyingly bright.

Its still a " to each his or her own " type deal....
Its all in what you like... That 10 years warranty is more like a 36,000 miles bumper to bumper and a powertrain warranty untill 100,000 miles...
I love my 3800'* and will continue to do so... Yes the other are making more power... But can they and do they manage 30-33 Mpg on the open road with the car loaded down AC running, crusing 70-80 mph all day long in a full size sedan with lots of leg room...?
Thats not to say I wouldn't have a Toyota or Honda because I would... Both have come a very long way over the years... Same goes for Nissian... But after helping a friend work on several of them and what it takes to rip into one if a timming chain tensioner goes out...
I'd rather work on the Quad 4 DOHC 2.3 or the Later Twin Cam 2.4...
Each car no matter how good has its fair share of issues...
But I do agree GM has been behind the ball for a long time... The 4.6 Northstar came out in 92... Eventho the engine has evolved its still a Northstar 4.6 V8... Same goes for the 3800 series II / III these engines started their life in 95 for the NA'd version and 96 for the SC'd version...
Now the 3800 will be killed off for the 3900 making 240 hp... I think GM should have kept the 3.5 twin cam and punched it out a bit

Jack, don't forget to take in account that the dealers want to rip you off first so there would be a markup, then if Dodge has a discount (which I doubt on its SRT line up) the cost would be about 37 grand, IMO.
Vigs, I really don't care for the radio. Again, I love my Big Bertha, so if I'm ever in the market for a new or almost new car, I'm most likely to go for the Bonneville GXP, I know hthe North* aren't that moddable but it looks so damn nice and I'm a daily driver guy and I want a nice and fast car to drive daily in the snowbelt.

Dealer invoice is around 32k on the SRT8, so 35-36k is marked up already.
I too like my daily driver to be nice looking and good in the snow, that'* why no matter what I buy in the future my Bonne will always be my daily driver. (excpet when I change it up a trade with the wife for the Jeep
)
