Never loose a job unless you already have another one lined up.
And always be prepared to loose a job.

my ex and i worked at the same place for awhile

we were dating before she applied there, we were able to keep work work and if you did not know we were dating/ engaged you wouldnt have known from our interaction at work

we also operated on the dont ask dont tell policy when she applied.
