Hmmmmm............well I guess he has a while to make up his mind.
Did read some more about it. Apparently Penske has an interest, but we all know Jr. wants to stay with Chevy.
Of course Gibbs is interested, but we have talked about that, as well as Childress. I read that Ginn motorsports is VERY interested.
I still think he would be wise to go to Hendricks for the ovious reason that they are so dominant, but from a fan standpoint I know that won't happen.

Hendrick isn't really any more dominant than RCR. Look at the top 12 currently in contention for the chase. All 3 Childress cars are there. 29, 31, and 07.

He has roughly until August. That'* when all the orders for new schemes and logos on merchandise have to be sent in for it to be ready for the next Daytona 500.

Penske does want to talk to him, but probably won't be willing to pay the price it would take to go to Dodge, and I don't think any sane person would want to be teammates with the two 'attitudes'. Kurt Bush and Ryan Newman are interesting characters. Not many friends on the track or in the garage.

Ginn will throw the biggest check into the hat. Just watch. He'll finance whatever he has to, because he knows the revenue Jr. can bring back in.

Well, I agrre with the personalities at Penske. I am a Newman fan, and he certainly seems to be a loner. I know there was no love loss between him and Rusty. But, the article I was reading seemd to indicate that Penske would be willing to spend the money, he certainly has it...net worth 2.2 BILLION.
I jst can't see Jr. in a Dodge.
But, yeah, I see Ginn spending the money if he goes it. Don't know much about that group. It would definitely be an investment.
ANd, you are right, RCR can run with Hendricks, but Hendricks certainly has this COT thing down...for now anyway. And, you can't beat their motors. (Just ask Gordon )
Wonder if they'd make a 3800?

Interesting news today. I don't think Penske will jump just yet. 80% of Daimler'* stake in Chrysler was just sold.

So the new controlling group may or may not want to continue to fund race teams in Nascar. It'* happened before.

I bet Penske has been thinking about a switch to GM.

Yeah, I saw that about Chrysler.
That'd bee cool if Penske went GM. Kinda funny, I picked Newman cause I was a Dodge guy when I first started watching Nascar, and wanted a young driver who would be around for aa while. It was either him or Kasey Kahne. SO, now that I wouldn't drive most Dodges (still love old Mopar), Penske to GM would be great. Might win some races too.

That would put Kurt Busch in all of the big 3 within a 5-year period.
