Dale Jr. calls it quits!!
I can't see Hendrick going for him, other than supporting him with engines for his own team. Rick Hendrick would never put Jr. and Gordon on the same team.
Gibbs? You bet. Stewart and Jr. have a reputation as drafting partners on the track.
RCR? Same deal.
Keep in mind......the #8 MAY follow him. NASCAR has discretion on that by contract. My bet is he'll have the 8 (his Grandpa'* number) if he wants it. Or the #3 at RCR, which Childress pays for each year, as Nascar won't retire a number.

I was wondering if you were going to chime in. I am really curious to see how he does. I actually would like to see him succeed. From my understanding, he won't drive the 3 until he'* won some championships. I agree that he wouldn't fit at Hendricks, Gibbs might be good for him.
Like I said, usually the owner/driver thing doesn't work, and my understanding is that is what he is going for. We'll see.
And, yeah, I guarantee the #8 and Budweiser will go with him.

Bud has already stated they have a deal pending with JR MOTORSPORTS. They will follow him. They'd be fools not to. They get a cut of all merchandise sold with their logo on it.
Junior sells.
Junior sells.
The inside rumor floating around GM is that Dale jr will be moving to RCR.
And he will fly the 3 on the car.
And He will be sponsored by GM.
in other words, following in the steps of his dad.

Dale has clearly stated he'* not worthy of driving the 3. He hasn't won a championship and that was 'daddy'* number'.
HOWEVER, I think Richard Childress could talk him into it. He'* like a Father figure for Dale. I think a Red Budweiser #3 would be very fitting. What RCR has to consider is:
Has Kevin Harvick matured to the point that he can survive in a company with a prominent teammate like that? No problem with Jeff Burton (awesome character) or Clint Bowyer.
(BTW, my custom pushrods were manufactured by the same company that makes them for RCR).

He has said in the past he would love to drive the #3 car...... and dollars to donuts if he goes to RCR the #8 will well be just that a number.. I could also see a partnership between RCR and JR motorsports.

The RCR/33 rumors are being denied by RCR. Childress wants Dale to take some time to think.
The 33 (really the 133) was driven in Cup a few times by Kerry Earnhardt for RCR (Dale'* older half-brother from Sr'* first marriage). Keep in mind Kerry is now a TEST driver for DEI, and his younger son is driving late-models (pre-arca/busch series) for DEI as a development driver under contract.
GM may be a CO-sponsor, but Budweiser has clearly stated their intent to stay with Jr. if he desires it. That'* the primary sponsor to end all sponsors. Dale wouldn't switch at this point in his career.
