well, the cooling fan is finally dieing on the tempo. i hit the switch, it hardly ever starts, and most of the time has to be moving for it to take off. if you spin it freely, it sounds like something is hitting the blades <light plastic maybe> but nothing is touching them. prolly the brushes going out. losing power also. so here is my question... what should i replace it with? i am looking for alot of fan. possibly as tall as the radiator, with enough power to suck a bird through the radiator. kinda want to keep it under 30 amps though, but if you find something higher then that, post it anyway. what you think?

A fan from a taurus, lincoln mark8, v6 camero'*... windstar has a dual fan setup...
Hit a junkyard and bring a tape measure is about the cheapest way to go.

Take measurements of what you can fit and hit up ebay. The ones on there are generally 12, 14 or 16".
Just compare cfm, amps drawn, and prices for your size.
I just did this the other day. I got a 12" fan to replace the smaller fan in my 95 and it pulls 2000 cfm.
