hrm... well there is a problem there, I cannot even get the computer running long enough to load windows before it freezes...
ohh, that sucks. try booting to safe mode maybe, then roll back to a restore point. (Does Me have restore points like XP?)

Network cards are installed correctly... XP computer is named office the other is named basement... both are part of the group "family" we are using a linksys router with 802.11g built in. I'm stuck with the fact that the ME box doesnt even start up... it just freezes after five seconds of loading windows.

if safe mode doesnt work, then run scan disk before windows starts up. usually there good to fix minor headache problems temporarily, but load up XP if you can

Um, i dont know exactly off the top of my head but try...

hit F12 or tab or one of the other F buttons once the computer boots up, and look around in the menu sections

boot to the ME CD or floppy disk...that might help you out and might have a feature to repair windows

LOL....sorry

um, if you tried booting to the cd allready then get a big hammer and smack it. from what i am hearing sounds like another ME Os has gone bad

You can always try resetting the Bios, but i doubt that will do anything.
