Default Change Oil Light on Grand Am

I hope this is in the right section. My daughter has a 2003 Grand Am GT, with no owners manual. Her boyfriend changed the oil and the "change oil" light is on on the instrument panel. Anybody know how to reset this?

Thanks

My 01 Intrigue has the same feature. Not sure if this will work on your car but here is how I turn mine off:

1) Turn ignition to "run" position (but car NOT running)
2) Press accelatrator slowly to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds
3) Oil change light should flash
4) Turn ignition to "off" position after oil light stops flashing

Thanks for the help. Actually, on the Grand Am it'* key on, depress gas pedal 5 times, and it will reset.

Depending on what kind of radio she has, she can probably access it and a host of other options through the head unit... I think you press and hold the Select button...

If its the same setup as my alero (it should be theyre both n-bodies) pull the fuse cover on the drivers side, press the reset button and turn on the ignition change oil or low tire pressure will start flashing, use the button to select then hold down when the one is flashing that you want to reset and it will chime at you
