I was wondering if anybodys light came on and how it works because mine has never ever came on since i have owned the car i have a 92 SSEI

Put "92 SSEi" in your signature.

92'* dont have a 'change oil' light.

He could be talking about the DIC

Or, the oil pressure idiot light, which signals that the engine has low oil pressure, and if low enough, the engine will shut down.

He'* specifically asking about that. Not the oil warning light for level or pressure. There is no Oil Change light on the 92-99 cluster or DIC.

There isn't? Even mine has that. What does your'* display?

92-99 display oil pressure on the gauge and a warning chime if it falls too low. We also have an oil LEVEL warning on the DIC.

No warning for the oil change interval.

Mine has a maintenance schedule. Which you can program for Oil Change, Oil Filter Change, Tune Up, and Tire Rotation. That'* what he was talking about.

Mine has the oil pressure gauge, i don't know about the warning chime, but I have an oil pressure idiot light. However, mine does not have anything for oil level, just coolant, washer fluid, and fuel.

When I had my dash apart to replace a light I found "Oil Level" on the cluster in the Systems Monitior But there was no bulb. Is this a functioning light on the SE cluster?

If the DIC doesn't have it, you'll have a dummy light. So i'd say if your bulb isn't installed, you have the upgraded DIC like an SSE or SSEi. Possibly because of the SLE package.

I am so glad mine has the maintenance schedule so it reminds me to do everything. My odometer doesn't work so I am especially glad that the DIC tells me when 3000 miles comes around.
