I have calmed down a bit and I guess its not so bad. I tried a quote at progressive and they wanted 1200 for the same 6 month policy.

I can't wait to see what happens to my rates once my speeding ticket hits. I better go buy a 5 gallon bucket of vaseline now.

I'm paying $700 for a six month policy for the Bonnie and my wife'* 2002 Venture minivan. Including comprehensive and collision.

I just switched from GEICO to Progressive yesterday, and I'm saving about $200 a year...
Went from 4 payments of $75 a month (GEICO), to 5 payments of $44 a month (Progressive).

BTW, that'* with more coverage and incredibly lesser deductibles. Yay me!

P.*. I turn 25 in October, let'* see what happens

5 days after I got Nissan Sentra, some Dodge guy slammed into its side. My car was a 93, and it didn't have enough power to go up an incline. I saw the moron staring at his girlfriend and speeding, but my car just barely started climbing. Total damage because it bent the unibody.

When I got the Bonneville, I kept driving the Sentra while I fixed up the brake lines and rebuilt the supercharger. I got a 78 in a 55 ticket, and shortly after sold the thing for $50 and a motherboard (Intel 915). With my mom'* Mercury Sable, I got a 71 in a 55.

Now, the only thing that'* actually on my record so far is the Dodge hitting me, and they counted it as my fault. That guy was a moron. As soon as he got out of his car, he couldn't stop apologizing and fidgeting. His girlfriend tried to calm him down, and when the cop came, the guy stood calmly and pointed at me while he told his side of the story.

My insurance for my 1 car, the Bonneville, is $135 per month for minimum coverage with American Family. I'm 21, but the rate had not adjusted for my new age bracket.

Luckily my insurance is a bit cheaper with the '03 than it was with the '04 Sebring, but I still pay $1350 for 6 months, or $228 a month. :( That'* exactly what my car payment was on the Sebring. My 94 was $138/mo.

I may look around for cheaper insurance, but at the time I switched to esurance, they WERE the cheapest for me. It'* going to be a looooong time before I'm paying less than $100/month. :(
