Default Bluetooth PC Dongle

I was looking for something to transfer pics/videos from my cell phone to my PC and found this on Ebay:

Does anyone here use something similar?

No, but I have integrated bluetooth on my laptop. Just as an FYI, data transfer via bluetooth is SLOW. Its nothing fast, but for files to and fro a cell phone shouldn't be TOO large.

I use a Kensington dongle. But beware....your phone may not be able to transfer files. At the moment, only Cingular and T-mobile allow their phones to do the BT file transfers, and even then, T-mobile puts a limit on what you want those files to do (i.e. custom ringtones). Verizon does have phones with BT, but disables the transfer capabilities in the firmware. Does your phone support OBEX and push-file transfers? If so, you're golden.

Who is your cell provider, and what phone make/model do you have?

You can probably hack the cellphone, But I doubt on BT doing it.

the make model and carrier of your cell phone is going to play a big role here....... its going to make a big difference on what you will be able to achieve legitimately and or hacked
