Well, congrats and I hope things all go well, cuz that ring would make my jaw hit the floor....and I'm a guy...
Whatever you do make it special and memorable. Think of a clever way to ask her. Women like men who take the time to think of a way to be different. That way when she tells her girlfriends how you proposed she will be the envy of them all

If she says no, call me...I might go gay for a rock like that.

shes an outdoors type of girl (one of the reasons i like her so much) so i'm thinking i'm going to take her for a walk along this river we went by in the fall that she thought was pretty cool. I think that its something she'll like. and its too bad there isn't a whole lot in Mount Pleasant to work with either.
Mt. Pleasant? My wife and I both graduated from CMU. Three degrees between us.
We got married at Sacred Heart (downtown) and had the reception at the Holiday Inn on Pickard. Our rehersal dinner (and my graduation dinner, for that matter) were at Riverview Country Club on Broomfield. Small world.
You're right...not a whole lot to offer for being romantic. I would take her to a nice dinner at Mountain Town Station, then out for that long walk. There are some nice, quiet areas out west of town, where Broomfield goes south toward M-46.
