Big moment in life...
Well, I stopped at Jared'* on the way home from school today. I've decided to ask my Girlfriend "the question"

Now its off to talk to her Father and Mother on Thursday. If anyone has any suggestions on how to approach this I'd very much appreciate it. Her parents like me but still I'm nervous as all heck here...

if you two have been together for any length of time you've met the folks and should know how the land lays. just whatever you do don't bring harofreaks roommate chad!

I am at the point of trying to talk to her father, but I don't go over all that often due to work and her coming to see me, and when I do go over, he is usually at work ( works 12 hour shifts).
I was planning one thing, but I feel that I don't wanna wait any longer, besides I have had this ring sitting here for a couple weeks now and I really want her to have it.
You can try and plan how to do it, but plans don't always work. I was tempted to carry the ring on me when we are together and find the right time.
Good luck, I know what you are going through right now, I am in the same situation, hehe, I guess the biggest difference is that her and I have only been together for 7 months.

I'd say just talk to them, be honest, and be confident (not cocky). If you truely love her (i'm sure you do) they'll know that, and be happy.
