Just left mom at the hosital to get some much needed rest before her next ultra sound at 130. There are no words to exlplain the range of emotions one goes through in this situation (so im not even going to try). On behalf of my girl and Our son I want to again thank everyone for your thoughts and wishes.

At one point last night I had thought what if, and that took every ounce of energy I had (again I am a strong person on the outside) I try not to show my emotions but lastnight there was no holding back. To be brought to the ground and then picked back up in the way we were this morning. lets just say that untill 11:30 am this morning nothing mattered but my wife and our baby. And when the tech said boy that didnt matter either see we had our hearts set on a girl, But as long as our son is healthy WE DON'T CARE.

I have been keping mom upto date on what you guys have been saying and she tears up right along side..... She now understands why I love this place.


I LOVE YOU GUYS again thank you from the bottom of our hearts. BTW incase of this type of situation we have already decided it was up to mom to name the "girl" and dad to name the "boy"

As a husband and a father, I can honestly say I teared up a bit reading your last update.
An experience like this really puts things in perspective dooesn't it?
The wife and I were hoping for a boy, but we would be lost now without our girl.
You certainly earn to appreciate whatever gift you are given.
It'* wonderful to see the Club pull through a support a member once agian, it'* what makes me proud to be a memeber.

Great news.

I just got back from lunch and came on to check for updates. This made me smile. I can fully understand the range of emotions you are talking about. Just three months becoming a first time dad myself. Glad to hear all is well.

Glad to hear everything is fine. BC is a good place to be.....kinda comforting and reassuring.....like an old pair of beat-up, sweaty, stinky, sneakers, that you can't resist putting on once in awhile just cause you like 'em (despite your wife'* many attempts to throw them out)

Well we are not out of the woods just yet. I was a little upset finding that Nan'* blood sugar had not been tested all day long. (You would think that if the thought was gestational dieabites the nursing staff would be all over blood and urine). I got back from grabing salad and she told me her heart was racing I went to the nurses station to only to be questioned as to why I was asking to have her sugar tested. For lunch she had 1 egg salad sandwich 2 arrow root cookies 1 glass of milk and 1 hour later her sugar was up again. We are awaiting the Dr. And depending on what he says I might just ask for a transfer to Ottawa Neonatal center. Things like urine need to be tested regularly for protine at least 4 times a day. Yes we have a healthy baby but we need a healthy mommy to continue to have a healthy baby.

Another blackberry update. Will have another after we see the Dr. Oh and on another note we just had all the testing for this done on the 10th of Aug. The results are still sitting at the lab and were not forwarded to the Dr taking over for our'* while he is on vacation. Trust me when I say hell will be fired over that one when I spoke to the lab this morning they said that they have tried to deliver and that they do not call patients. Hello this is not a little thing were talking about. Now I am having the other emotion (Anger knowing this could have been caught earlier).
