I remember only Nintendo and the playground as pure entertainment and fun. Honestly, computers were lame before the Internet.

My first computer was before Windows was even in existance! My dad had a computer that had an operating system called "head start" on it. It wans't like DOS, it had three columns that you used to make selections. I distinctly remember that you had to do a series of commands to get the computer to shut down, such as first closing all programs, disabling drivers, then putting hte computer in "park" before you could shut it down. Windows 3.1 didn't even come out until maybe 4 years later! this first computer I remember was from the late 1980'*!
