Default Advil, aloe, and alcohol - I hurt.

so i did a good deed today. i volunteered for the Corporate Challenge for Kohls. Every year, corporations around here get together and compete in a variety of physical events with the focus on childrens events and children. So i volunteered for the following events: the tug-o-war, the 55m dash, and the 3-on-3 mens basketball.

i showed up today at 9:30am. i left at 6:45pm. not bad, but when you consider that the entire time i was outside, without sunscreen, running, pulling, and counting sit-ups for the kids in three-digit temperatures . . . i hurt. and im burned. my muscles are aching because im not in shape. well, round is a shape, right? i came in 7th in my group the 55m dash [there were 8 people] and my team went 0-2 in the tug-o-war. but its for the kids!

and now, im treating my wounds so i can go back tomorrow and do the same thing. basketball instead of tug-o-war and 55m. my medicine? you guessed it. Advil, Aloe lotion, and a smidge of alcohol.

kill me.

Join my landscaping crew and you'll learn the definition of pain. At least it was cool today, only mid 60s for highs. But for the past 3 weeks its been in the upper 80s lower 90s non stop for work. On Monday I lifted 92lbs keystone blocks up a hill for 2 hrs strait. Just tryin to make ya feel better.

I feel your pain!! It is a good thing you are doing and you will get your reward for your good deed.

It was hotter than a mo fo today and Jeff worked on my car doing preventative maintenance and I was having a yard sale. I made $190 for 2 1/2 days and have a lot more room now for more stuff

Seriously, keep yourself hydrated while in the heat like that. I got sick to my stomach because I was so hot today.
