oh man. that'* great. The funniest part is the fact that I work at at restaurant and occasionally get these types of phone calls. (not perverted like that, but from an operator like that.) I think that deaf people contact these people and type out what they want said? Either way it'* funny listening to these when I"ve talked to these operators before.

Yep, most hearing-impaired customers with a TTY line can use that type of service to communicate with non-deaf callers. There are some other similar services also, where you can type a text message or e-mail to someone, and an operator will call them and read it.
