I think many people choose the Grand Am GT over the top-of-the-line SSEi because of financial constraints. Some people simply do not have (or are not willing) to shell out the cash for a brand new SSEi over a GA GT. My SSEi is one hell of a car that is for sure. It is my 3rd Bonneville and I bought it because Bonneville’* are great cars. However, SSEi’* list for nearly 20 thousand dollars (Canadian) more than my GA GT was. IMO, some people question the mentality of spending the extra money for a car with relatively similar performance when they simply do not need the extra room or prestige.
I love this site. I think the people are great, the camaraderie has blown me away, and I find it truly amazing how so many people with a common interest can come together and help each other. And, there is no “trash talking” which most other car forums can’t purport to. I have both an SSEi and a GA GT like my signature says. Yes, I am biased. However, when someone’* Bonne gets beaten by a GA GT it seems to me that some people are quick to say “something went wrong” or make an excuse like “they are nice but I would rather have a 3800.” And, in my defense of GA GT’*, I get the distinct impression that people think I am a “traitor” of sorts.
Now, I am both a member here and at grandamgt.com. However, I more frequently turn to, read, and post on this site because it’* great for all of the reasons aforementioned. So, hypothetically, just as I would be very cautious about posting a thread in which I list the benefits of the Bonneville over the Aurora, since one of our moderators owns an Aurora, perhaps people can use the same discretion when speaking of GA GT’*. I know that, in addition to myself, there is, at least, one other member who owns one as well, in addition to his Bonneville.
Well said Galaxy, bear in mind that I posted a massive thread in the hopes of exploring the differences between the Aurora and the SSEi. Diversity is what makes this a great group. No matter what you drive, drive it with pride and we should all respect the qualities that each vehicle gives us.

Hehe.. Well actually it'* not a true ram air system but i have air pickups in my bumper opening, and it'* ducted to my intake. Not terribly efficient, but it gives it plenty of air when it needs it. For the tubing i just used some 3" dryer duct. members.cardomain.com/bonnieboimn
