I agree with #1. Kids should read the original, not the screenplay in school.
#2 is BS. They intended from the get-go to do the entire trilogy, and it was all filmed at once. They had to do all three.
#3? Cmon....everyone who has a brain knows the benefits of widescreen, and the difference between the dimensions of a movie screen and a TV, don't they?
#4. Who cares? He'* a nobody anyway.
#5. Tennis shoes? I love it! Orcs in sneakers!
#6. I doubt it was copied.
#7. Racism? No. That'* the way Tolkein wrote the book. Does that make the studio racist?
#8. Obviously the writer of this webpage knows nothing about the legend of the ring. It'* a personality in and of itself. Almost a 'being'.
#9. Violence.....that'* the way it was WRITTEN by Tolkein....how many years ago?

I think it'* hilarious when people ask "Have you seen it yet? Oh, then I don't wanna ruin it for you!" the only way to ruin trhe story for me would be to change it. I've only read the series like 10 times... 
And I, personallly, always start with The Hobbit and work my way through.
And I think they are doing a great job with the movies, that'* why I thought the list was so funny

I guess the author doesnt know that those books were written 50 years before Warcraft came out...Tolkein practically invented that kinda stuff, I am gonna stop now before I get carried away...

Seriously, I don't get it. These movies are AWESOME!!! Not only is the action and special effects great, but there is a lot of good moral ideals in it as well. It'* a classic good verses evil story. I think these people just say or write these stupid things to provoke a response. I see the "shock" stuff in the media all the time. I truely think this series is the best one I've ever seen.
And yes, I've read the books many times, including the Hobbit. I actually own them. I think they're doing a good job on it.

I was just re-watching the second Harry Potter movie, and I thought "How cool would it be to be JK Rowling right now?" She wrote a story for her kids, and look at what happened...
