Default 3rd brake light fine, but not the rest...

My mom drives a 2001 Chrysler Concorde and someone pulled up on her the other day to tell her only her 3rd brake light is working not the rest> i finally got to check it out tonight and couldn't find the problem. I check fuses in engine compar as well as cabin. If it is was the switch under the brake pedal would the 3rd light still work? Any suggestions here? :?

Turn signal switch in the steering column. The lower brake lights go through the switch before going to the brakes. The turn signal switch needs to be replaced.

Never done one on a Chrysler before. If you're going to attempt it, I'd pick up a Chiltons. You will need some special tools (steering wheel puller, probably other specialty tools as well)... you may be better off taking it into a shop for this one.

Just making sure, as it is not listed as part of your testing. The bulbs are good?
