Take photos of the dead patch when you go to court. Tell them you weren't watering your lawn, you were prepping the dead spot for a reseeding, but you needed it wet for the fungicide to work before you could lay down new seed , after giving the fungicide a few days to work.... baffle them with BS. Logic won't work, they are in cohoots with each other.. his best friend probably passed that dumb law, if it wasn't him.

true story....We have a law against that in my city.

we cant tar or pave our front lawn for extra parking. Yet they want us to not park on the streets. WTF is that all about.

but we can water our lawns when ever we want. :P

I am taking this to court.

I am really pissed because we have had the most rain ever in 10 years, the town of boise is flooded and delcared a state of ermgency with army core of engineers comming in to fix the river banks......they washed out becuase of the rain and snowfall melt, we had nearly 300" of snow on the ground at the ski resort this year. and I have not even needed to water the grass until today of course 10 minute later a cop shows up and writes a ticket I pretty much lost it with her and probably almost got arrested lol.

also the entire area around here is farmland and they water all the time all day every day. anyone that ever has grown potatos knows how much water they need....constant.

worst part of it I was just watering a dead area on the grass at like 1/4 throttle on the hose. *$*$*(#)#$*#* i am f* pissed.

your kiddin right? ive never heard of such a b/* law it kinda makes me chuckle

They actually had to make it a law here not to have sofa'*, couches, or car seats on your porch.

We occasionally have bans on watering here, and we live ON the Lake.
Hans, that is definitely BS. Sounds like the cop was a hard a$$. ( the female ones usually are. We learned about that in my Crimninal Justice class. Something about wanting to show they fit in with the men) I thnk they are just trying to make money. A lot of b.*. laws are for that reason.

ok does this look like we have a water shortage:

nope dont think so.

lets see...our water is pulled right out of the ground which is dense with water..the more we water lawns, the less dense the water is in the ground = less flooding right?

I have a court date set later this month.

I know around here they usually put a watering ban in effect, odd and even days for the odd even numbered houses. They pull from various places, like lakes and right form the ground, but what happens here is that the demand is higher than the supply so the water level in the water towers gets pretty low.

HOWEVER, in the area I live, there are many people that are NOT on city water like us, we have our own well point and pump, so they can't bother us. I actually just helped a buddy that IS on city water install a well point so they can fill their pool, but later in the summer be able to wash cars or water the lawn even if there is a watering ban in effect.

As for the farmers watering all the time, they usually have their own supply of water or pull it out of the ground, so they are not affected by any kind of watering ban.
