Default somwhat new guy

hi all,

i have actually been browsing the forums now and then, but havent started posting till recently. I am a grand prix owner, but am currently looking into the purchase of a Bonneville for something a little different. Some of you prolly know my name from clubGP. been into the GTP scene for going on about 4 years. so i am not new in any way to the drivetrains of these cars, just to the body style i guess. :?

so if i chime in dont worry, Im not a newbee with no idea what i am saying

so, just saying whats up....and hopefully in the future i can have some good stuff for you all to feast your eyes on

Brad

I am looking into the 96-99 SSEi'*.... something a little different. I think a bonnie of that variety making 12 second passes would be a bit more brow raising than the newer ('00+) style.

I havent ruled out a series 1 powered SSEi however, because they have great bottom ends, but i would have limited transmission options with the series 1 drivetrain.

what i end up with will most like depend on the deal i find first.

Welcome to the club! For a real "brow" raiser, look long and hard for the very illusive '96 or '97 SE with the SLE option and a factory L67 series II. No one will suspect anything from a factory L67 equipped "SE" . They also made them in 1995 (as you can see in my signature), but they were series I.

The SSEi has all the bells and whistles--great car, but don't expect that from the L67 SE'*. They will have everything you need, but probably not everything you want...no HUD for example.

thanks for the heads up. i personally want all the goodies inside as much as the engine. regardless if it is series 1 or 2 the factory FI will be gone.
