As to the previous question as asked..Why would I do that? Are the internals the same? You have to remember I come from the old 3.8 world where a 3.8 is not a GN 3.8. Now I am lost... A grand does not bother me as long as I am getting what I want

Okay dont feel bad im from the old gm v8 rwd world umm here is whats needed and this is all stuff you could use from your current engine depending on how its ''blown'' this is all the parts from brians top swap kit for sale and pretty sure this is all youd need basically buy your non sc'* for cheap and throw all you sc'* parts on it ...list of parts youd have to swap onto the new motor

Anywho, So are the internals the same? I don't think I will be doing this anyway because of the bad head but I will entertain it if the block and internals are the same. In my world compression would be a major issue?
