Default New guy with old car

Hi all,

I have an 89 LE. Of course I joined when I started having problems. I will post them somewhere.

1) Getting MAP sensor failure. Is it the sensor? I replaced one and it didn't solve the problem. Can something else cause this?

2) When lights are on, the multifunction turn signal switch doesn't toggle in and out of high beams. If I pull the lever all the way, I get high beams, no click. When I let go, I get parking lights only.

So, here I go.

Steve

Welcome to the Bonneville forum.

If you unplug the MAF and start the car, does it run the same? If so, the MAF should be OK.

Hi and welcome to the Bonneville Forum!

Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.

It doesn't run OK.

With the MAF plugged in, it hardly runs, stalls.
With the MAF unplugged, runs better, but still uneven.

I edited it. But I don't see it. Where does it show up?

If you did it right, it should show up under your post like mine does. My signature includes an image.
