New Guy with a 1998 Old's "Jasper" 88
I hope I dont have to spend much time here but it looks like a nice forum.
This time when the UIM died it took on alot of water (you would think 3800'* would learn to swim). As I was cleaning it out to take it to the junk yard I just could not do it. It is just to nice a car so I took it to the shop I use and had a Jasper engine put in. I really have not done much to it over the past 8-9 yr. I put on a reinforced after market UIM this time.
I sure hope I get good service out of the 88'* second half of life.

Good to haer that you decided to save the car. The Jasper motor should be very reliable and a strong runner. What UIM did you go with?

I orderd the UIM from Auto Parts Network for about $113. It looks like it was made by ATP. I dont know if it was the one to get but it can't be any worse than the OEM part.
