Default New Guy with a 1998 Old'* "Jasper" 88

I hope I dont have to spend much time here but it looks like a nice forum.

This time when the UIM died it took on alot of water (you would think 3800'* would learn to swim). As I was cleaning it out to take it to the junk yard I just could not do it. It is just to nice a car so I took it to the shop I use and had a Jasper engine put in. I really have not done much to it over the past 8-9 yr. I put on a reinforced after market UIM this time.
I sure hope I get good service out of the 88'* second half of life.

Welcome to BC.

And you don't have to have a problem to spend time here. Lots of friendly folks, good fun, and solid advice. Although if you do have a problem, we will be here for you.

Good to haer that you decided to save the car. The Jasper motor should be very reliable and a strong runner. What UIM did you go with?

Default ATP UIM

I orderd the UIM from Auto Parts Network for about $113. It looks like it was made by ATP. I dont know if it was the one to get but it can't be any worse than the OEM part.

The APN kit seems to be the best out there. You should be good to go for awhile.
