Hi! New here, 95 olds cutlass ciera 3.1 V6
Hi everyone and thanks for having me. I have a 95 ciera. I let it sit for a couple weeks and now it will not start. It is turning over but will not catch. I have checked fuses, I have spark and have charged battery. I do not hear the fuel pump. Is there a way that I just might not be hearing it? What is my next step, change fuel filter? It seems weird that the pump would go out after just sitting. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks so much!!!
Fuel pump fuse? I'd check that and replace if needed. There should be a valve on your fuel rail. Like the type of valve you find on tires. Press that down if fuel comes out good. If not you might have a bad fuel pump. If you only have a little fluid come out then you might have a clogged fuel filter. Especially if it'* 15 years old and original to the car.
Hope that helps.

Welcome to the forum! It sounds to me like it could be a bad fuel pump itself. When you turn the key, but, don't start it, you should hear a noise from under the car near the fuel tank. If you don't, the pump itself is bad.

Remove the cap from the shrader valve and push it in. Does fuel spray out? If not you have no pressure. Start with the fuse. Then check the ground at the back. A fuel pump can die when ever it feels like it.
