Exclamation Turn sounds great in park, but wont accelerate past 30 mph.

I have a 1997 GMC 1500 pickup with a v8 5.7L extended cab.

I am having a problem accelerating when the truck is in drive. When it is in park, you can rev the engine up and everything sounds fine. In drive, it won't go faster than 30 miles per hour.

I had this problem before, I did a tune up and ran injector cleaner and it picked back up and ran great for a few months. Now I am having the same problem.

If anyone has experience with this problem I would appreciate the help. Simperfi

It could be a slipping transmission. Clutch or atf may be worn out.
