Default 6.2 diesel wont accelerate

Hi I have an 86 chevy with a 6.2 diesel engine. It starts but when I step on gas its like the throttle cable isnt even hooked up.......it is by the way. I have changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump.....that wasnt it. I have considered it being the TPS but when I read about that it dosen't seem to quite fit the symptoms. If you have run into this or know what it might be the help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

Yeah pretty much....I mean you can shift into gear without your foot on the brake and it wont idle by itself.......you gotta give it just a little pedal to keep it running or it'll die.

Have you tried turning the screw on the injection pump up a quarter turn?

From your original post it sounds like the TPS. You can check it with an ohmeter by connecting the leads and sweeping the sensor.
