Truck shakes when slowing down
Just a thought. If the brake pedal pulsates while braking just before stopping(about 3 mph) and continues till stopped. It could be early ABS activation due to rust build up under the front wheel speed sensors increasing the gap between the sensor and the reluctor ring. this condition will "fool" the abs to think the wheel is skidding do to the loss of vss signal and release psi to that wheel and pulse the brake pedal. This condition won't always set a fault code as the abs system is performing as designed as per the input from the wheel speed sensors. usually can tell which side if you don't have a scan tool is to let go of the steering wheel while it is pulsating, remember this is about 3 mph just before a stop, and watch the steering wheel to see what direction it pulls. If it pulls right, it'* the left sensor. if pulls left then it'* the right sensor. If this is the case, you can remove the sensors, clean and prime the surface. remember to clean out the hole that the sensor fits into, lightly lube the sensor and reinstall. It maybe necessary to replace the sensors as they sometimes will break when removed. Usually I will replace the sensors on high mileage vehicles. I am also assuming the hub bearing are good. Hope this is helpful.

By disconnecting one of the front wheel speed sensors will default the ABS system and disable it.
the brakes will work like a vehicle with out ABS.Road test and see if your issue still exists.

Thanks. Can I remove a fuse or something to disable the ABS or do I have to actually remove a tire to get to it? I’ve been a little under the weather and haven’t had a chance yet to take my truck back to the mechanic.
