They dash lights on my 2003 Silverado do not always come on. They sometimes work..then the next time I start up they do not come on. I have checked fuses and they all are ok. Suggestions??

Start grabbing wire harnesses and moving them......also try rapping the top of your instrument cluster pad, with the palm of your hand to see if they come on......tap all the fuse blocks.....

No dash lights?
Do the exterior lights turn on?
If yes, the problem could very well be with the dimmer switch.

My cousin had a problem with her 2003 Tahoe dash lights not turning on. I traced the problem down to a faulty dimmer switch. She didn't want to buy a new switch.

I ended up connecting a jumper wire from the main headlight switch to the brown wire on the back of the dimmer switch. Now the dash lights turn on with the light switch. The only drawback is that there is no ability to dim those lights.

Maybe the brown wire on the back of your dimmer switch is loose.
