I pull the trailer 3 times a week with the gmc... It'* my wife'* BBQ trailer hauler... I tow with my Ford everyday... Mostly 60+ miles a day 1 way towing 14k+... I'm a contractor and have heavy equipment.. I have never seen over 190f on the transmission that'* why I was worried.... My daily work Truck is a 2004 f250 4x4 5.4..

It'* acting correctly.... When I put it in 3 it starts in 1 and only goes to 3 like it should.... But I am really disappointed in the performance of this truck...

Performance? Not exactly fair that you are comparing a standard issue 1500 to a F250.

I get that.. But the 4.8 produces more hp and almost the same amount of torque with a much lighter body.. I guess I was just expecting more... I really think this thing needs a tune because the throttle lag is terrible..
