Keypass II lockout 99 bonneville
drove 50 miles back home but in the morning the car won't crank over. Checked the battery OK, went online and found the Keypass II problem. I do have another key but it still didn't start with it. The Security Light is on and flashing. So tried the reset suggested, turn the iginition key on, try to start, leave on and wait 10 minutes for the security light to go out, only mine kept on & flashing the whole time, did it 2 more times as suggested but still the light never went off and kept flashing. Never reset the BCM and still can't start the car. Even left the iginition key on for 20 minutes and the security light never turned off. So what to do now?

This is another VAT site, that actually goes in to bypassing the system.
I know on my vehicle, the blinking security light indicates that no resistance is read on the key, biggest offender is wires broken in the ignition cylinder. When this happened on my car, I turned the ignition key, electronics fired up, hit the key to start, and nothing happened. Then I looked at the dash, and saw the blinking security light as you described. One VATS bypass later, I was back in business.
