Radio are not made by the manufactor. If you go to another brand. You could end up with a radio made by the same company.

If something is working poorly, and GM advises it is working as designed, then accept that as GM'* admission of inferior design. In other words they admit to designing crap. What do you expect? Them to put in another pile of crap, wasting money and time? Then what will you do?

I was on the Hwy two days ago in the PA and 30 miles out of town I could hardly hear the local fm stations.
I wonder if an electronic signal or antenna booster would help in these situations? The other thing is what antenna do these new trucks have?
I am thinking for distance stuff now a days satellite is the way to go.
Commercial free and often reliable clear signals.
Otherwise a cd gets plugged in or thumb drive if you have one.

Dealer checked connections, reprogrammed, and tried a different antenna. The dealer also told GM that they had three or four more trucks with the same issue. GM still chooses to respond with, works as designed.
