Auto dimming mirror staying dim? HELP😞
That’* what I thought to but I guess once power is applied to charge/change the substance that dims it must require another charge or to change back and if sensors are bad or mirror circuitry then I guess that wouldn’t allow it to happen☹️
If they work like auto darkening welding helmets it'* needs power to darken. I'm thinking that is how these work but I'm not sure. I don't have much experience with them.
They are fairly simple. There'* a high and low signal wire that comes from the module. I'm thinking the sensor is bad and keeping them dark.

I was thinking that after I made the last reply but dismissed it. Is it dark without key in ignition? Can you see the sensor in the mirror you unhooked? It'* just a little thing probably in the corner.
