The guy at autozone said it was an MAF sensor code and a co2 sensor code. I tried using the the MAF sensor cleaner to no avail. Still having the problem.

Try disconnecting the maf sensor near the air filter box and drive it. It puts the truck in default mode and bypasses the sensor. If that doesn't help you might have a clogged convertor or resonator. I had blazer come in 2 weeks ago, they replaced the convertor , but the resonator was plugged. It set a 02 sensor and maf sensor code also. It was plugged so bad I couldn't get the truck up to 20 mph. I was also told it never ran bad and just happened all of a sudden.

there are like 3 maf codes and like 8+ O2 codes, if we had the numbers it would be better. im just guessing but if it was a electrical code could be issues with the wiring but if it was a signal code the maf might need replaced, the o2 is likely caused by the maf. i would take it out and look at it some of the the wires come loose

I changed the MAF sensor. Still had the same problem. Out of frustration I cut a hole in front of the catalytic converter with a saws all about two inches long just the width of the blade, to see if the maybe the cat was clogged and it would release the back pressure . It runs a lot better. I think that I have a catalytic converter problem or resonator problem. Any thoughts?

I usually drop the exhaust pipe from the manifolds, but ok. If it does run better that'* what it sounds like. Take it too a muffler shop and have them install a convertor, have them cut the convertor and the precat if it'* equipped. Make sure if the old convertor is coming apart, to check the muffler for debris.

I got the catalytic converter from autozone today with the gaskets and some penetrating oil (to help loosen the bolts) already sprayed the penetrating oil. About to give it a shot. wish me luck.
