'99 Bravada- Disable DRL to Install HID's
Hey, I'm a "new owner to a '99 Bravada with a Jasper crate engine swapped in with around 20k miles, no rust and only one dent on the hood. I got the truck because I wanted a solid winter vehicle for my work commute and I want to keep my 2001 bmw m5 as salt-free as possible here in PA.
I just finished a full detail of the car to clean it up, steam cleaned the carpets, removed the roof rack and wet sanded the components and sprayed a smooth truck liner over the rack to bring it back to life, flushed and topped off all the fluids, and also wet sanded and polished the headlights.
Currently trying to disable the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) so I can install a HID kit and get some better visibility. Does anyone have any advice on the fix? I already took out the fuse relay under the hood with no luck and checked under the dash. Maybe I am missing something but I can't seem to disable the DRL'*. Please help!

Do you need to disable DRLs in order to install HIDs?
Are your DRLs on whenever the engine is running or only when the transmission is in gear?
Are your DRLs the same location as the normal-beam headlight?

Not sure if the Blazer and Subby share that strand of DNA.
I also don't understand why you want to disable the DRL'*........they are just the high beams at half brightness.......and not sure where you live, but it is also illegal to do....you could be pulled over....and in my state, you won't pass inspection....
I installed the Xenon filled Sylvania ZXE bulbs which are nice & white and bright, close to HID....
What a difference !
