Default s2000 or bixenon

original plan was to do 4 s2000 projects, two for lows, two for highs. learned that was somewhat ridiculous since HIDs suck at warming up when it comes to hibeam.

quesiton is... should i get s2000 lows and use reg highs, or should i get bixenon projectors?

issues with s2000 lows: car will look normal during the day. daytime lights will run at 80% like normal using the high beams and it will look like the bonnie.

issues with bixenon: how will the daytime lights work? will they run 80% of the projector??

anyone ever done these b4? ive seen some nice retrofits here so if you wanna comment feel free

ohhh: is there any way to make it so the daytime running lights run at 100%? i know theres a way to disable them, please msg me if you know how.

do a search for the DRL Disable

and you do know that the "S2000 Projectors" are not any different than other Projectors that are used on other vehicles

Pat, HID projector outputs vary WIDELY between different models. Not all are the same If I recall correctly, the S2000'* are one of the more preferred although slightly more expensive.

ferullo0,
You can't have the DRLs running the HID'*. They need full power. Aren't the DRL'* the HIGH beams though on the 2000+? I would assume the projectors would be in the place of the lows. For ease, I'd suggest the HID projectors in the lows and keeping your current high beams. Do the lows stay on WITH the highs in the 2000+ models - because if they do you'll be set.

If you haven't already, go to www.hidplanet.com and do some major researching. 2000+ Bonnes are cake compared to retrofitting a previous generation Bonneville.
