2004 4.3 engine start proble
Wont start! was told fuel pump. Not it has 58lbs pressure. Put in a new spider injector module. New MAF sensor. New Rotor cap and button. All with no luck. Turns over tries to start, but not start. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help

Spray some carb cleaner into the intake......wait a few seconds, then spray some more.......make sure the MAF/Snorkle is all attached with no leaks......now try to start vehicle if it starts and runs, try replacing the fuel filter first......if you still have problem, it'* the fuel pump......58PSI is marginal....
I assume there were no codes set, and when you took a fuel pressure reading there was no drop....

"Ahh, ya doesn't has to call me Johnson! You can call me Ray, or you can call me Jay, or you can call me Johnny or you can call me Sonny, or you can call me RayJay, or you can call me RJ... but ya doesn't hafta call me Johnson."
Or William for that matter!

Ok, Mike, obviously you never saw that comedian'* routine.....
Bertallard, the reason for the carb cleaner trick is this......those 4.3'* are finicky at around 60psi, especially on a cold engine.....so by giving it a shot of carb cleaner, the engine will start and once started, the marginal fuel pressure will keep it going.....one thing I have found, is a partially plugged fuel filter, can cause the same symptoms....so before replacing a pump, I would replace the filter first, and see if that takes care of the problem....
