2000 silverado xcab 3 door 5.3 4x4 210k

Hey just bought this truck a week ago and everything was fine. Put new door speakers in it and realized previous owner yanked the drivers side window switch wire out and had it jerry rigged back in. So I fixed it. Everything is good. Went fishing for 4 hours came back and started my truck and the security light starts flashing. I soon realized I have no headlights, or interior dome light. But the multi switch works to turn on the dash lights. Corner lights, brake lights and turn signals also work. So I get home Park it for 20 minutes and then try the multiswitch n my lights come in. I start the truck and boom lights donto work. So I did some research checked all fuses, all were fine. Buthe did come to realize that I have no L Body "fuse" aka RAP. Now the radio and lights do turn off when door opens. So I'm lost... I disconnected battery over night. Still didn't help. Have read it could be my bcm. But would it just stop working like that in 4 hours..?? Sorry this is long but I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated

Exactly, what do you mean it was "jerry rigged"?

Was there another circuit involved?

Obviously, there are some codes set, probably "B" codes, which your average code reader/scanner can't read....

Security light will come on if there is no input from the headlights.......

Have you checked under the driver'* side hush panel, for a module and harness that shouldn't be there?

when I say jerry rigged I mean wires twisted together and not done the right way.
