I gained about 50% on the Zilla 3 years ago. Maybe 25% on Jseabert'* SSE, and perhaps 25% on the SLE. I did the SLE when I bought it as normal maintenance. Hadn't noticed a problem until after I cleaned it.

For the 5 or 10 minutes it takes to open it up and look in there with a flashlight, it would probably be worth looking for more than half the cars here.

mom saw this thread and pointed it out to me and wow did it work, i was hardly getting any air out at all, now it is blowing hard. it is really good. im gonna do this to our old 91 in a couple of days for the woman who bought it from us, i work with her and she is a friend of the family now and she is complaining of the same issue.

I don't mean to highjack, but my vents are less than sufficient. It'* most noticeable after I don't drive it for a few days. There'* basically no air at first, then the volume of air surges for maybe 10 mins before it finally gets steady and reasonably solid. Could it be that crap settles down during the time it'* not driven and then takes time to blow a path through the crap that'* causing the blockage? Or is the blower itself on its way out?

if you have electronic climate control it will start out slow.


however its probably not your problem since it sounds electrical or mechanical. I'd check into the possiblity of having stuff in your evaporator box. it should be 6-8 more bolts after what I did to get it out and really give it a good cleaning.

when the BCM fails (part I have pulled out there so you can see in the hole) odd things can happen as well.

A little off subject, but are those wide wiper blade holders the same as what these cars originally came with? I have the same on my 93 and I had always thought they were some kind of aftermarket deal that someone put on it. :?
My 92 has the normal width type and I know they are original because car has been in family since it was new.

90% sure they're stock and if they lose their color, this is how they can be repainted.
