Yeah..I agree about audis too. Even a 1998 A4 is around 10 grand for a high-mileaged one. Seriously, what all do you get in them?? A few nicer luxury features? So what! Im more for power than anything. You gimme the best bang for the buck (aurora or SSEi was my 2 choices left when getting car) and i will take it. Although i like the more comfortable seats in my rora i wouldve taken a ssei had one been found in great condition.

I don't like the ES330 and Avalon simply because one can get a fully loaded Camry SE (225hp) and pocket the change. Just about the only car in the entire current Toyota line that I can go for. Mind you, the Avalon has 280hp/260tq, the Camry 225/240, but that'* still aplenty.
That said, I fall for a lot of the appeal that Bonneville gives - the size, the torque, the quantity (not quality) of features, etc. And with the phenomenal (heh) American resale, they make a formidable used car. It'* a great car with smart and sensible owners (can't say the same for other marques), I just don't feel it'* the be-all and end-all of anything.

Just because it'* Japanese doesn't make it rice bud. Other cars in the class have smaller engiens with more output while the SSEi needs a blower just to enter the race with them. The Maxima (especially the previous gen) are nothing to scoff at.
I've seen 1.8t A4'* for 7ish, in good condition. They hold their value because they're good cars, and last a long time. The dash is nicer, the seats have real leather, the drivetrain is more refined. A4'* start out cheaper as well brand new. $35k for a GXP is a rip, you could get into a G35 for that price.
Just because you have a certain car doesn't make it the best car out there.
