I bought my car because it was the most feasible for what I wanted. A car I can travel with, carry a lot of people or luggage, get good gas milage, have good reliability, and of course be a Pontiac. It looks nice, handles nice, and has a good amount of power that I can have fun with.

However, if I had the money, I'd get a WS6 T/A in a heartbeat, and drive the GTP in the winter.

Mine definately fits me. I've always been a Pontiac lover...maybe they don't have the highest quality craftsmanship in the details, but they last forever and give good service throughout. I would rather have a practical Pontiac than an unreliable but more exciting car any day. And I love the sleeper aspect...it is lost somewhat on the 2000+ models because of the aggressive styling, but somehow people still assume there is nothing under the hood. It'* just so much fun to blow away a smirking Camaro or Mustang driver and watch the surprise flood their face. I don't ever like to be what people expect. Oh, and they are beautiful too...not sure what that says about me (is it like men with small you-know-whats and fast cars? ).

So that about sums my Bonnie and me up:
Quality where it counts,
practical but still fun,
surprising,
and a little bit aggressive.

I drive the Bonnie because at the time it was the best value for the money in the used car market. I wanted a 3800 and it just so happened that the Bonnie fit the powertrain I was after. I'm not necessarily loyal to Bonnie'* but more to the 3800.

Now, as for the Firehawk, I'm loyal to that!

I think what a car says about a person isn't always obvious. There are a lot of folks who buy a car that works, regardless of make or model, as long as they think the price is right and it will server their needs. Not everyone is an enthusiast. Some are more drawn to practicality, others to first impressions. That'* why the imports spend so much on advertising. I only wish the Bonneville commercials hadn't stopped running. Maybe more people would appreciate what the cars had to offer if they were at least drawn to the showroom.

Another opinion I have is that among the imports, so many of them are beginning to blend together in my eyes. Toyotas are pretty plain, and I can't really get excited about them. Nissans tend to look better than Toyotas, but my sister'* experience with them was bad. Always something going wrong, didn't hold up well for a new car.

Say what you will, but I am a Pontiac fan. Used to be into the older GP'* from the mid 70'*. Owned about 5 of those battlewagons. Now I'm on my second Bonneville, and I wish they hadn't discontinued it. I wish they'd have refined it a bit more, sure. But I love this car, and that'* what counts.
