dude.. stay away from the ebay ones.. i had those and a month later they burnt out... just fork out the 45bucks for the silver stars...much better!!


also... my mom picked up a rental car yesterday for a trip shes goin on....it was an impala...nice car... i noticed on the headlights that the Highbeam doesnt have a cover of the tip of the blub where as our cars do..... why is that??

Are you sure they are the high beam bulbs? Ive never run across a high beam bulb w/o a cap on the end of it. Even the el-cheapo "flea market" Ricer bulbs sold at like PBs and other auto stores have the cap on the end of the high bulbs

yeah... when she comes home.. ill check it out.. but both blubs on the one side didnt have caps on them...weird.. ill snag a pic also

WELL, since were on the subject of bulbs I just happened so to purchase a set of H.I.D bulbs with the ballast for my 97 Bonnie a while ago and they are PERFECT!! These lights puts the BMW, Voltswagon,300c and Lincoln Navi out of there brains lol! The ones I have are 14000k and they are super blue/purple. Many people stop me to ask where did i get them from and i also got a girls # who drove a 96 Bonnie cuz of the lights lol! Many of my friends say that they can see me cumming fom almost a mile away no lie! I would Really say if thats what your looking for to get the because it makes your car look great, almost like an 2005 dependind on the shapes your car is in.

But thats just my 2cents!!

HID CApsules aren't design to work with our housing.. the reflectors just isn't built the same.. not tryin to be a jerk or anything.. I"m sure it looks cool since no one out there ( other then less then a handful in here ) has this conversion and sure look unique.. but it produces more glare to on coming trafficwhich may make it annoyin to some people especially if you've ever driven pass a car that has hi beams on.

HID'* produce more glare because they produce more light.
Drifter that second pic looks like E-code lamps. Due to differences in roads between North America and Europe, American cars are designed to throw more light. This helps illuminate road signs, pesky critters on the side or the road and whatever else might be luking there. While European roads are typically more narrow and usually dont have the plethora of road signs America does, and probably also to help prevent distracting other drivers, their lights are more "accurate".
If you want a cool look go for the HID like, or proper HIDs. But if you want more road illumination stick to standard Halogen bulbs.
