I aggree with Bill. No need for a lock on this one, Hes asked the opinions of the people here and everyone is giving theres, its nobodys falt if the magority of the people think that its Sacrilegious to put them on, if you going to ask and opinion you have to be prepared to get negitive feed back. Sometime it works the other way and you get all good feed back, its just the nature of a forum.
that being said i would say no to the badge, it no different the puting a buick emblem on the car, because its not a buick and its not a 97. I will not stop you nor will anyone else here (discuraging is not stoping)
I've got some nice Pontiac arrow heads you can put there (about the same size with a really nice color), it would be a little custom, but it wouldnt be say it was something that it was not

Goldenbullet, you are absolutely on a major roll tonight.
Please read this. And don't ever tell an Admin 'So There!' when he corrects you on this Forum.

Im going to assume that the "so there" comment was meant to be a joke, but you have to realize that sarcasim doesnt comeout right when your typing (you need to hear the tone of voice for sarcasim to work) some people mght not take it right, so you might want to choose you words

I take Grimm'* seemingly unpopular stance...
Customization is (or should be) all about what makes you happy, in an attempt to personalize your vehicle the way you like it. I try to avoid openly ragging on someone'* car, even if it'* "rice," it is obviously making them happy. Admittedly sometimes my own opinion gets the better of me, but I try.
In my eyes it'* the same as putting SSE/i cladding on an SE, wheels off of another model Bonne, or turning a 318 'Cuda into a Hemi 'Cuda clone (as mentioned by Grimm).
Ultimately, you bought the car, you keep it running, and you pay for the mods. So do what you think will make the car more enjoyable for you, and others be damned, haha. So long as your mods don't infringe on anyone else'* safety (clearly not in this case), it'* all good with me.

OK,OK. I'm not one to let other'* opinions guide my dicisions, unless.........I ask for the opinions of an educated group on a certain subject. Case in point. I'm not adding 40th badges to my car, not because of peer pressure, but because i value the opinions (most, anyways) offered on this forum and have made my dicision accordingly. For the admin that said lets keep it civil: those are the responses I am paying attention to, and will pay attention to in future posts, the civil ones. I asked for help in making this choice and I got just that. Thank you all.

I just wanted to say I thought this discussion was very civil. No one was name calling or getting upset here. I certainly wasn't. If you want to see uncivil discussion you should belong to a couple of the other car boards I frequent. You guys need to loosen up a bit, not need to lock a thread like this.
