Put the badge on. It'* your car. People are doing it every day with muscle cars and the like calling them "clones". As long as you aren't trying to profit from doing it like people are with clones, I see no problem with it.

What'* so different about putting a 40th anniversary badge on his car from say putting GXP body parts on your non-GXP? Or putting GXP wheels on your non-GXP? Or how about even putting neons in your car, or clearing the headlights when they never came from the factory that way? It'* all just modifying your car to fit your personality or likes.

.....you cannot compare parts that you put on a vheicle to ones that never had them...thoes are mods that people do the the car......
leave the 40th badges for the cars that are SUPPOSED to have them....

Putting those badges on a car that wasn't RPO'd as one makes each member that actually has one feel a little less 'special' about owning one. Changing the LOOK of your car is one thing. Making it seem to be something REAL and somewhat rare, at the expense of others, is a bit different.
