Worth it? ('98 SSEi for sale I found)
I found a '98 SSEi on Craigslist with 180k for $1900. Anyone think it'* worth it? If so, i'm gonna take a look at it.

What about the RS/Z24 hybrid thingy you got going on?

Looking at the longevity of the motor, I wouldn't think twice about the motor. Transmission...well. At 173K and plenty of abusive driving, I'm driving mine 12 hours for a rebuild. Driving.. because it'* fine to drive...but I know after this years round of mods it won't keep up much longer. Sonoma is at 26?K... I mean gosh.. And he thinks nothing of heading to the track for the day.
Struts, gaskets etc should all be considered. Areas you can use to try and talk down the price a bit would be leaky valve cover gaskets, coupler in the SC making noise at idle, seeping lower intake gaskets. Any rust or saggy rear end should also be factored in. If the rear is saggy...turn on the key.. and wait 27-35 seconds..the system should purge a little, then fill no more than 3-5 seconds.

Yes, obviously if I am going to be buying another bonne, I am throughly looking it over for fluid leaks, water leaks, rust, I am gonna throughly drive it and check everything 2x over. I'm NOT screwing up this time.
Yeah good idea boosty, I am going to try to point out any problems I find. BTW what I meant by test driving it is, I'm gonna take some tools with me if I go and look at it, and I'm gonna pull the belt off the SC and check the coupler, make sure the struts are ok, etc.

While you are doing all this stuff. Look under the hood from time to time. You should be able to smell oil leaks as the engine is up to temp. The fans should come on and as you are wandering around, watch the temp gauge. Make sure you see the fans work. Testing AC won't do much this time of year. Probably too cold where you are to work.
