Default Winter Wheels

I'm looking for steelies right now and have found a set with COP rubber on them for 50.00 a wheel.

question..

wouldn't 5x115 steelies off of a chevy truck work. since they would be 17'* and not 16'* hence a shorter snow tire. ?

and would the off set make that much of a difference ?

from what I remember, trucks are not 5x115. and the thing with that would be the backspacing would be different. Most FWD have a higher positive backspacing, while RWD has a neutral or negative backspacing. In effect, if you did put RWD ones on, your wheels would stick out farther, which is not beneficial for your wheel bearings
