A CSC is huge power adder for 3800'*. Its a LOT more effiecient than an M90, Gen III or Gen V. You slap one on a GTP and take the blower off and you're going to gain some serious time. However, its still pretty much a belt driven turbocharger...because of this, it is robbing quite a bit of power from the engine to run it. A turbo setup would be cheaper and more efficient. But, the reason people switch from like a Gen III to a Gen V is really simple, because its practically a bolt on, and still looks almost stock. Yes, it doesn't have HUGE gains, but it has some gain, and when you're trying to get a lot of power out of a pushrod v6, any gain is still a gain. Not only that, but Gen V M90'* really aren't that expensive. A turbo or CSC costs significantly more.

If I had a N/A 3800 and I wanted to go fast, I would put a turbo on it.
