Who has the most miles on their Bonny?
If that rattling noise is occuring at idle or acceleration (800 to 1300 RPM) it probably is the timing chain.
Did you ever have the problem with broken cam magnet? I'm still trying to figure out why they'd change the chain if nothing is wrong with it...but in your case it might be a good idea to have it checked out.

I've got 187,000 miles on my 88 LE and still runs fine other than the hood latch needs to be fixed and the driver rear door won't open anymore. And I have almost 88,000 miles on my 98 SSEi
The peg on the hood itself on my 89 rusted off. I had to put it back together with screws, plates, and u-bolts, and then paint the thing.
The hood open light kept going ding ding ding ding. I disconnected the sensor until I could surgically repair the hood peg.

I'm sure I have the most miles of any of you...(92 SE)

I have the same problem wiith the peg on the hood the front rusted off and then the rear part snapped off. Along with the latch not opening anymore the peg is stuck in the latch till i get it fixed.
