Hmm... 500,000 km+ what'* that, like 140,000 miles?

Anyway, I remember seeing that someone saw a bonne at a gas station with like 380,000 miles and he said he was still on the original engine and tranny

for those of you with all those miles, have any of you had to replace your timing chains? I'm looking at mainly 88-91'*.

Hey Custom, I'll be changing my timing chain when I get my cam magnet fixed. Apparently when they get in there and rip the cam apart, they replace the timing chain.

Just need to scrounge up the money or time or find someone who knows how to do it

Cool thanks. I only ask because I have 150,000 on my LeSabre now, and the engine is makeing a loud tinny/rattling sound at light acceleration between 800 and 1,300 RPM. The rattle makes the engine sound really junky. :( I figure it'* the timing chain since it'* coming from that area, and it even makes it without the belt hooked up.
