I found a black box under the passenger side carpet almost under the seat..
What is it/ Do ?

I'd suspect that'* your airbag module. My suggestion would be not to mess with it.

wires look like they go to the fuse box....

Hopefully you read the last post, those airbags are expensive

would the car crank over if the security system locked out.

Why don't you just come right out and tell us what'* up? No reason to be shy.

Not to mention, they hurt like a ****...

there shouldn't be any modules under your seat.

the seated seat module (if you have them) are bolted to the underside of the seat.

there is wiring that runs down the side of the car in a black tray

the airbag module as talked about above is on the center tunnel

It could be an aftermarket alarm or an XM tuner or something. Do you have factory keyfobs?
